Our creation: The Vision Project! Based on the video A Vision of Student Today by Michael Wesch, this assignment started with the collaborative creation of a document containing thoughts from the students on what is like to be a student in 2018. Our group selected some of the messages, and that's the result!

About Culture Wars, Troll Farms, and Elections About the last couple of years social media seems to be a fertile ground for extremist discourses and radicalism in general, but often this may not be something "naturally" occurring in this environment, but an action orchestrated by groups that want to create a division in certain societies. I have taken as an example a video of a youtuber and three reports talking about the case of a "radical feminist against manspreading " in Russia. The girl's odious action had an equally odious reaction, where several people stood against feminism and progressivism in general. This radicalization, as the links show, was a manipulation by a government to promote its agenda. I am a father of a 4½ years old boy, and I am concerned about a lot of the aspects that Sherry Turkle exposed. I am aware that my kid sees me a lot with my smartphone in my hands. I try to explain to him - or to myself? - that this device is a somewhat new technology that bundled together a lot of media and communication technologies: "I'm reading the news; I'm taking a picture of us; I'm talking to your uncle," and so on, and telling him how I'd be doing those things in "the old days..."
